The Prattville Lions move to 17-5 on the season by taking a double header from the visiting Cavaliers of John Carroll.
The Lions took Game One 3-0 on the efforts of a strong performance by Senior pitcher Will Strichik. Strichik pitched 5 innings of shutout ball scattering 5 hits and striking out 5 walking just one picking up the win. Eli Smith came in to pitch two addition scoreless innings to record the save. Offensively, Bradon Butts led the way on a 2 for 3 effort at the plate. Butts also scored twice and had three stolen bases.
Game Two featured a 10 run offensive explosion with the Lions taking the victory 10-2. Will Pruitt led the Lions to victory on the hill allowing four hits and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three. The Prattville bats were alive in this one with Mathew "Chewy" Nichols, Will Smith and Gavin Edwards leading the way. Nichols went 2 for 3 at the plate scoring 3 runs and driving in another. Smith also went 2 for 3 driving in two and scoring twice. Edwards went 1 for 2 at the plate and drove in 3 runs.
The Lions will travel to Dothan Thursday to take on Northview and Headland.
