The Lions broke out to a 4-0 lead to withstand a furious 6th inning comeback by the Madison Academy Mustangs and hang on for a 4-3 win. Tice Wood goes 5 and 2/3rds innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits to take the win. Tra Edwards came in the 7th to shut down the Mustangs to get the save. Gavin Edwards led the Lion offense with 2 hits, Brandon Butts had a double and a sacrifice RBI, and Cody Womble also contributed an RBI. The Lions move to 14-5 on the year and will host Wetumpka late Saturday afternoon.
