A year ago, Prattville Lion junior Jayden Lewis had never even attempted a long jump. Tonight he led his State Championship 1st Round flight field with a 22’8.25 for a new personal best and school record. Lewis made it to the finals where he finished 5th in the State.
"For a kid who had never attempted long jump until this season, I couldn’t be prouder as his coach," Lion Head Track coach Geary Howell said. "We will be back next season and I can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for this young man."
