Brian Pittman Named New Lady Lions Softball Coach

Principal Brock Dunn and athletic director Martin Jackson annouced the hiring of Brian Pittman as the new head softball coach for Prattville High School. Coach Pittman comes to Prattville after spending the last 3 years at Brew Tech Magnet High School where he led the Lady Rams program to new heights going 66-28 over the last three years and helping the Lady Rams to the highest ranking in school History in the ASWA polls and reaching the 5A regional finals.


Coach Pittman also has extensive college experience as well being the Head Coach at Southern Union State Community College for 7 years. During his time Coach Pittman helped turn Southern Union into a National Power leading the Lady Bison to the 2014 ACCC State Championship and a 4th place finish at the NJCAA World Series. He is the all time winningest coach in Southern Union History going 254-118 in his time there and 154-36 his last three years winning 3 Accc Division Titles. While there Coach Pittman had 60 players sign with 4 year universities, 35 ACCC all conference Players, 20 ACCC All region players. 8 NJCAA All Americans, 1 ACCC conference player of the year, 1 Mariucci Community College Athlete of the year. 1 Mariucci Region Hitter of the year. He also has two AISA State Championships at Edgewood Academy in 2002 and 2003 and has also been selected to Coach in the Ahsaa North-South All-Star game this summer during All-Star Sports Week.
